  • Fusible knit interfacing 20” wide 2 3/4 yards.

  • Use a 12” long separating zipper.

  • THE COUTURE DRESS CORSET is from my collections.

  • The corset is a designer corset and not a historical waist-synching Victorian corset. This corset was meant for Couture dressing.

  • This pattern has 5/8” seams to accommodate the boning channels better.

  • This corset is full-length with shoulder straps, squared-off front and back necklines, and armholes with high hip length.

  • The corset is fully boned with a double-panel boning technique.

  • The corset has 32 boned channels and uses 1/4” wide plastic boning.

  • The corset is fully lined with 1 1/4” folded bias self-fabric tape to finish off the entire corset.

  • This corset has a front-laced closure.

  • The desired shoulder width is 2” finished. When applying the bias tape, you want to come 1/2” from the edge for the finishing.

  • The Bust finished measurement is 34 1/4” closed (keep in mind this should be smaller than your bust so the corset pushes your bust up).

  • The waist finished measurement is 30 1/2” closed.

  • The hip finished measurement is 36 1/2”.

  • The corset has a 2” wide modesty panel in the front.

  • The front closure measures 13” long.

  • The corset lands on the hip about 6” below the natural waistline.

  • The corset measures from HPS (high point shoulder) to the finished hem 20”.

Keep in mind, my body measurements when I made this corset were, Bust 37”, Waist 31”, and High Hip 36”. This corset should be less than your bust and waist to perform correctly. This is not meant to change your body completely. My goal for the corset was to be comfortable and wearable, dressed Up or Down. Enjoy!
