Join us for a transformative four-part virtual series on custom jacket making! This course is designed for those who want to master the art of measuring and fitting an unlined jacket. Perfect for anyone with basic sewing skills looking to create a personalized jacket or improve their pattern fitting techniques.

The program consists of 4-hour sessions held on separate Saturdays.
What You'll Learn:
Understanding and solving individual problem areas with your jacket pattern
Accurate body measuring techniques
Measuring and adjusting the pattern in key spots
Cutting out the pattern along new, corrected lines
Homework sewing a muslin mockup to test the fit
Class Structure:
The first session will focus on initial measurements, pattern adjustments, and muslin mockup sewing.
Sewing Guidance will be given on the sleeve and collar
During the second session, we will check in with each student. Susan will personally review and address fit issues, offering tailored adjustment guidance.
Final session instructions and guidance will be provided to perfect your jacket.

Sessions will be conducted via Zoom and recorded for your convenience.
Participants must have the Peaked Lapel Jacket PDF pattern and 100% cotton muslin, with links and instructions provided a week before the class.
The jacket pattern is available in sizes 2 - 14 USA. For accurate measurements, please refer to the provided sizing chart.
A Zoom account and the ability to show your work are required for problem-solving and feedback.
Please note that refunds are not available; however, you may transfer to a different class if needed.
Participants can expect up to four hours of homework each week.
Prerequisites: Moderate sewing experience is required.
While you’ll work towards completing a sloper pattern, success depends on your individual skill level and commitment to completing the assigned homework. Completion of the pattern is not guaranteed.This supportive space is perfect for those ready to overcome their fears of jacket-making and achieve a custom fit with professional guidance.
